WHO DO YOU SAY I AM? | Lydia Herron
Have you ever struggled with finding your fit? Have you ever felt like you don’t belong? Or asked yourself those hard questions of “Who am I?” or “Why do I matter?” Ever been on the wrong side of a hashtag or labeled something that really hurt you or puffed you up?
Ephesians is the book for you. You’ll find out just who you are in reading this book. You are going to hear from the Creator Himself, the very same One that made you and you’ll hear how He was thinking about you even before the world was made.
I love Chapter 1 because one of its major themes is who we are and who we belong to.
Like many people, I struggled to find my fit in life. I would ask myself, “Where do I belong?” This chapter redefined my whole life, and blew my mind! I literally looked to so many things and people to make me feel like I belonged before someone told me, “Hey, why don’t you ask God? After all, He created you.” There began my love for this book but, more importantly, my love for God.
What, or who, do you look to for your identity? Have you ever asked God how He sees you? What He thinks about you? Why you’re here, or what your purpose is?
Here’s my challenge to you, are you ready? Dive head-first into this book, whether you struggle with finding your fit or not, and see what God has to say about you. Grab a piece of paper and a pen and write down a list of all the things that God says He is and all the things He says that you are. It will redefine your life, too.
